EAA Chapter 1232
The North Bay Experimental Aircraft Association

January 2003 Newsletter

Gordon, Phil and John described this years coming attractions. We have some good speakers lined up, some shop activities at Gordon's hanger and some fly-outs. This year we will host our first Young Eagles event on July 19th at Gnoss.

John pointed out the importance (to the executive committee anyway) of members tuning into the web site since it is far easier for us to use this vehicle to keep everyone up to date.

Phil gave the treasurers report and indeed we have some money. Not enough to buy a hanger or even rent one, but enough to keep the organization functional and hopefully attract more members. Please help us spread the word.

Speaking of money, please send your annual dues to

Gordon, Phil and John were unanimously reelected to President, Secretary Treasurer, Vice President again this year.

Volunteers .. volunteers .. we need volunteers. To do things like bring the donuts and coffee, to help with programs and more as time goes by.

Thanks to Sam Cogswell and Ray Peterson for presenting the Civil Air Patrol pitch. It was very informative and seems like a very worthwhile organization from both a flying perspecitve and also a community service.

Don't miss next months meeting. Phil Simon, a recently retired UAL captain, will share some of his experiences about different and difficult approaches to the world.
